如果您已經知道文件的名稱，直接輸入其名稱即可。例如針對鐵達尼號沉沒事故的「Report of British Government on loss of steamship Titanic」，以文件名稱查詢就可以找到該份報告。

瀏覽：

1. 點選檢索框下方的「Find Terms」。
2. 出現主題詞彙清單後，可以用字母順序瀏覽，或是直接輸入有興趣的詞彙。例如Geographical Terms下有China，當中又有細分「China」、「China, imperial」、「China, nationalist」、「China, people's republic」。挑選某個詞彙後，再進行查詢即可。

後分類：

利用左側的Content Type、Document Type、Geographic Subject（淺黃色區塊）、Committee Source（淺藍色區塊）等分類，可以篩選出特定類型的文獻。

進階檢索：

1. 左上角「Congressional Publication」→「Advanced Search」
2. 可綜合多個條件、不同欄位，進行AND、OR、NOT檢索。
3. 下方還有「Witness/Panelist」、「Document Feature」、「Bills」、「Congressional Record」，提供更多區塊的進階檢索。
